Chad & Rachel Eskew

Chad Eskew was born in Lewisville, Texas.  He was raised up attending First Baptist Lewisville but failed to surrender his life to the Lord at an early age.  After suffering a knee injury in 7th grade and undergoing several surgeries involving the need for pain medications, Chad started down a 20-year path of drug addiction.  In November of 2014, at the age of 31, the seeds of hope that were planted as a child finally came to fruition in Chad's heart as he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ in a jail cell in Tarrant County.  This was his last arrest and last drug use!  Upon release in January of 2015 Chad reached out to the Denton Freedom House men’s program to receive training and equipping in discipleship.  In 2016, he became a staff member at DFH and now serves as the Development Director.  In 2018, Chad married his amazing wife Rachel Eskew and they both enjoy serving side by side at DFH and in the church.  He has been a member at Freedom Church since 2015, became a deacon in 2020 and joined the elder board in 2023.  Chads heart is to share the gospel, make disciples that make disciple and ensure that the local church is cared for and shepherded.
